Decentralisation in focus
De-centralisation has been the main focus for Rezidor for the past couple of years as rapid growth and the need to support expansion has made it vital to increase hotel autonomy and accountability. With an aim to make effective and relevant decisions closer to the markets we operate in, Rezidor has evolved from being a top-down company to becoming a bottom-up company with every General Manager carrying full responsibility for his/her hotel.

General Managers are supported by Regional Directors and Area Vice Presidents, who work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, to define strategies and develop tools designed to increase revenue and optimise operations. The head office, together with Area Vice Presidents and Regional Directors, defines its overall expectations in terms of revenue growth, and provide guidance for the hotel managers to develop their business plans and revenue objectives.

Global strategies for local success
Hotels also determine locally the best course of action in terms of sales and marketing and are supported in their efforts by the regional and corporate offices. Hotels also receive Communication and Public Relations (PR) support from regional PR teams that work closely with the Area Vice Presidents and Regional Directors. The Global Sales Office help hotels through targeted sales initiatives, while the distribution team looks for various online opportunities to promote individual hotels and drive revenue.
